Quality Assurance USDA Technician Position
*** Two shifts to choose from ***

SUMMARY OF QUALITY ASSURANCE USDA TECHNICIAN POSITION:
National Food Manufacturing company in Covington, KY is offering a Career Opportunity to an experienced Quality Assurance USDA Technician Position with the ability to carry out the essential duties of this position. This position includes, but is not limited to, the responsibilities and qualifications indicated in this posting.


REQUIREMENTS OF QUALITY ASSURANCE USDA TECHNICIAN POSITION:
• Basic knowledge of Quality procedures
• Excellent Oral and Written communications skills
• Experience performing the daily USDA Pre-Op inspection
• Must possess ability to lead and follow through on assigned projects
• HACCP Training and Certification – (Ongoing training)
• Available to work a flexible schedule including holidays, weekends and overtime when needed..
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently
• Must be able to work with little supervision
• Sense of urgency
• Must be 18 years or older;
• Must Have Food Processing (Fruits and Vegetables) Experience
• Must pass background and drug screening;
• Must be able to perform required duties on time at all times;


RESPONSIBILITIES OF QUALITY ASSURANCE USDA TECHNICIAN POSITION:

• Monitor and enforce all GMP / Food Safety compliance in the USDA area
• Pre-Op Inspection or appointed to alternate QA Lead
• USDA Environmental swabs
• Verify line changeovers, including conducting allergen swabs as necessary
• Ensure documentation is accurate information
• Review CCP documentation
• Verify CCP deviations and documentation
• Sign USDA Pre-Shipment Authorization
• Prepare and ship micro samples to lab
• Inspect USDA raw material
• Perform quality checks as specified
• Verify and document functionality of all metal detectors (CCP) at start-up and during
specified frequencies
• Calibration of USDA equipment / sign off on form
• Collect product retains for shelf-life and micro sampling as requested
• USDA Daily shelf life review and report
• Conduct weekly USDA facility audit


SCHEDULE & PAY RATE QUALITY ASSURANCE USDA TECHNICIAN POSITION:
• Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday
Or
Sunday- Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday
• 430 pm - 1:00 am
• $13.00/hr
