SUMMARY:
National sod company is offering career opportunities to Research Assistant who will assist with data collection and data entry for greenhouse trials, field trials and patio container trials.
Love of gardening and/or a background in science (biology, horticulture) is a plus!
REQUIREMENT:
• Data Entry skills a plus!
• Aptitude for both math and science
• Mechanically inclined
• Strict attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with Data Entry-Numeric, MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with standing in one position
• Picking/Packing responsibilities included
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Garden preparation and maintenance.
• Nursery and agricultural crop production and maintenance.
• Turf crop preparation and maintenance.
• Experimental design, setup and data collection.
• Fertilizer, chemical controls, and soil amendments.
• Greenhouse crop production and maintenance
• Will assist wit tissue culture and laboratory experiments, also greenhouse and field work for the biotech live good and hemp genetics team.
• Assistance with tissue culture preparation and molecular biology experiments, data entry and may also include seed cleaning, green house propagations and field planting
SCHEDULE & PAY RATE:
• 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• $16.00 / hour
