Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
SUMMARY OF INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
National plastic manufacturing company is offering career opportunities to an experienced maintenance mechanic.
The successful candidate will be responsible for close collaboration with other machine operators in order to meet safety, productivity, operations, quality continuous improvement, lean initiatives and team effectiveness. The candidate will perform maintenance on extrusion, and inline machines.


REQUIREMENTS OF INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
• Steel toe shoes required
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Perform a series of tasks well under pressure.
• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent certification.
• Able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair AC/DC systems from 10v through 480v to include encoders, motor controls, and power supplies
• Demonstrate understanding of operational processes, mechanical operation, electrical wiring, problem recognition, and troubleshooting techniques in areas of plastic thermoforming and extrusion.
• Demonstrates effective listening skills and is approachable to team members and others.
• Strong computer knowledge: BIOS settings, hardware troubleshooting, Hard drive formatting and imaging. Or the ability to be trained to complete this.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and electrical knowledge. We see a lot of installers and this is typically building panels from a drawing.
• Understand and knowledge of PLC's, logic, and controllers. We don't need the employee to write code only read it and understand.
• Must receive passing status on all pre-employment prerequisites: Background, Physical/DT, and E-Verify.
• AB, ABB, Indramat and Control techniques drive experience


RESPONSIBILITIES OF MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
• Skills to service and provide general building electrical maintenance
• Read and interpret schematics and technical references
• PLC experience, understanding of ladder logic
• Understanding of timers, counters, I/O devices associated with PLC systems
• Repair electronic systems including photo eyes, and temperature controls
• Trouble shoot and repair heater circuits, SSR’s, Thermocouples, Preventative maintenance
• Proficient in EC electrical codes for wiring systems
• Troubleshoot and repair computer systems ie motherboards, hard drives, serial cables etc
• Able to Image computer hard drives
• All other duties assigned by Team Leader / Manager
• Must have no more than 4 attendance points
• Must not have any active step-2 disciplinary action within the last year


SCHEDULE AND PAY RATE OF INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
• Monday - Friday
• 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, hours. may change after training period
• $15.00 - $20.00 / hour
