Payroll Clerk
SUMMARY:
National staffing agency is offering career opportunities to a Payroll Clerk, we are seeking bilingual (Spanish and English) for entry-level Payroll/Billing Clerks to join our Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will undertake a variety of tasks such as processing payroll information, calculating regular hours and overtime with the job costing, entering data with attention to detail, good math skills to make the necessary calculations, create invoices and sending directly to clients. The ideal candidate will be a thorough professional with good communication abilities. The goal is to carry out all payroll and billing procedures with speed and accuracy.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS OF PAYROLL CLERK
• Ability to demonstrate and maintain confidentiality.
• Detail oriented and capable of completing multiple time-sensitive tasks.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Must thrive in fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision.
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong Computer Skills.
• 0 to 2 years prior experience in Payroll, or Accounting is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills to provide customer service to employees, departmental and client inquiries.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to problem solve and escalate issues as necessary.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF PAYROLL CLERK:
Payroll Clerk general description of job duties are as follows and are not limited to;
• Maintain employee information and enter payroll data into software system.
• Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
• Calculate pay according to hours worked applying time wage compliance
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll.
• Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to Supervisor.
• Prepare and maintain payroll interface files.
• Reconcile payroll with Invoices
• Create invoices and submit invoices to clients
• Answer telephone calls
• Perform all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.



SCHEDULE & PAY RATE:
• Full-Time
• Monday thru Friday
• 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Starting pay $13.00 per hour (DOE)
