Warehouse Lift Truck Operator
This company is a manufacturing and distribution leader in the consumer and foodservice/food packaging markets it serves. It is currently looking to hire warehouse lift truck operators on a contract-to-hire basis.

The Lift Truck Operator (LTO) will work in the warehouse department. The LTO will be required to fill out various operator checklists and department paperwork that is related to safety, quality and production, and will be responsible for maintaining department standards for all equipment. The position will be responsible for distributing and picking up materials from production lines to the warehouse and loading/unloading truck deliveries. The Lift Truck Operator will be required to perform other tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements:

*** The Lift Truck Operator will be required to be certified in Forklift Operation upon assignment ***

Prior Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of experience operating a lift truck in a warehouse and manufacturing environment;
- Must have been forklift certified (OSHA certification preferred);
- Must have experience keeping proper order and organization on a warehouse’s floor;
- Prior exposure to Lean manufacturing initiatives is nice to have.

Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of mathematics, including the use of a tape measure and calculator;
- Basic knowledge of warehouse computer operations;
- Prior use of a hand held scanner for warehouse inventory;
- Must have the basic ability to communicate, orally and written, in the English language.

Ability:
- Must be both willing and able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds of material as required throughout the shift;
- Must be both willing and able to operate a lift truck throughout a shift consisting of eight to twelve hours;
- Will be required to follow safety guidelines and good manufacturing practices, as required by the Plant;
- Must be a team player, flexible, and willing to work all shifts;
- Must be willing to complete a State and County felony/misdemeanor background check for the previous 7 years;
- A pre-employment physical and drug screening is required for the position.

Work Schedule:
- Second Shift (7PM-7AM)

Pay Rate: $13.50 per hour
