$97,000 - $130,000 per year

SUMMARY
Provides leadership to the Quality Assurance organization to achieve business objectives. Establishes and leads cultural change consistent with management’s expectations and objectives and to achieve a performance-based culture. Position is responsible for ensuring that departments within the Quality Assurance organization achieve quality goals. Assure compliance to Quality System requirements such as ISO 9001. Establishes and leads continual improvement to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality. Assures that safety requirements are followed in all Quality Assurance areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assure implementation and compliance to all quality management system requirements including ISO 9001 and related standards.
• Develop and implement quality and continuous improvement programs to improve product quality and prevent quality defects.
• Drive awareness of process variability and establish programs to reduce product variability in key product characteristics.
• Manage internal quality audit and corrective action programs.
• Assure compliance to all regulatory and customer standards.
• Perform supplier quality system audits and manage supplier corrective actions.
• Assure compliance to all safety procedures in all production areas.
• Oversee operations metrics program for quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction performance.
• Develop and present quarterly management reviews and corrective actions for the Quality Management system.
• Develop and administer production training and certification program.
• Manage production test and inspection personnel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge and expertise in quality management systems, lean manufacturing, and six sigma methods.
• Knowledge and in-depth understanding of metrics development and presentation.
• Knowledge and expertise in quality system auditing and corrective action.
• Knowledge and demonstrated capabilities in project management.
• Proven ability to analyze, diagnose, develop and implement solutions to complex quality and engineering issues.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an engineering discipline.
• 5 years experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment.
• ISO 9000 certified lead assessor or equivalent.
• Track record of solving complex quality and engineering issues.
• Knowledge of composite pultrusion manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of machining process.
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and give detailed presentations.
